Second International Conference on Climate Impacts Assessment (SICCIA)

Fellowship Application

Please take care to answer all questions.

A limited number of fellowships will be available to partially defray travel expenses; priority will be given to participants from developing nations and former east-bloc countries.

Your application, mailed or faxed to us to arrive no later than 1 March 2004, must provide the following information:

  1. Contact information (name, title (e.g. Mrs, Dr), complete mailing address, fax number, telephone number, e-mail if any.
  2. Provide a statement describing your job duties, your background, and the relevance of the SICCIA to your present and future work.
  3. If you are a non-native English speaker, please assess your skill at communicating in English: Are you able to understand English well enough to follow the proceedings of a meeting conducted in English? Are you able to speak English well enough to make yourself clearly understood?
  4. Do you plan to submit an abstract for a paper/poster presentation at the workshop? On what topic?
  5. Contact the German embassy in your country to determine visa requirements. Do they require a letter from the organizing committee supporting a visa application, and if so, what information must the letter contain? How long do they recommend allowing for a visa application? (your answers will not affect our decision but will ensure that we have enough time to produce the needed documents)
