CALL FOR PAPERS

** Abstracts are no longer being accepted for the CPASW. For the latest list of accepted presentations, see the CPASW agenda.**

Presentations for the Climate Prediction Applications Science Workshop are being solicited that describe new research and applications in any stage of completion, and that address the use of and/or requirements for climate information, especially predictions for decision-makers. Other topics of interest include the use and impacts of climate predictions, and socio-economic benefits.

In addition to these general topics, papers in the following special focus areas are being solicited:

  • Climate prediction applications in the western U.S.,
  • Incorporation of climate change information in long-term planning,
  • Drought and the National Drought Information System (NIDIS), and
  • Dissemination of climate information through cooperative extension services.
Abstracts should be submitted electronically with the conference registration by January 12, 2007. Abstracts must be single spaced, 12-point font, and cannot exceed 350 words.

Notifications of acceptance will be sent out by February 15, 2007. Presentation time slots are limited, so the organizers reserve the right to assign presentations either to oral or poster venues (if you prefer poster presentation, please so indicate on the abstract submission form).
