Abstract

This report, prepared by the Climate Change Technical Subcommittee of the central Puget Sound (WA) Regional Water Supply Planning Process, summarizes an investigation of the regional relationship between cloud cover and other climatic variables and their implication on future climate change. Current data do not support the hypothesis that warming inland temperatures will increase cloudy days in the Puget Sound region. This suggests that other larger-scale climatic factors influence cloudiness in Western Washington.
